This tiny utility lets you create demo videos that capture what's happening on your PC screen. It can record the entire screen, a window, or any part of the screen. The recording area also can follow the cursor. The program offers several features to make the demonstrations clearer. For example, it highlights mouse-click areas with colored circles and adds sounds on keystrokes and clicks. You can switch off the cursor or change its shape. The handy interface lets you configure hot keys to start and stop recording. In our tests, Screen Recorder Gold didn't slow down the PC performance very much, even when capturing the entire screen. Simple and compact, Screen Recorder Gold will especially suit support specialists who want to record a problem and demonstrate the solution.

This is a really neat little program. It does record your voice speaking into the microphone. You just have to go to your Windows taskbar/ open Volume Control/ Options/ Properties/ check 'Recording'/ check 'Microphone'/ OK/ then the Recording Control panel should pop up/ make sure Microphone is checked. It also will record a video playing on your computer... but it must be an .avi that is playing. Cheers.

Easy to use and it's an interesting software

try to make a software presentation and training video. For the movie I found the Screen Recorder Gold that works very good. It makes an AVI of my screen activities with a very good quality. If you choose ms video1 to compress the avi file, the file size will be smaller. Also you can record sound if you use it the right way. Does exactly what I need and works,recommended!!!!!!

I found it can capture the apple quicktime movie from the web, and save it into a local file. Most of the time the webpage author doesn't let you save the quicktime video cause of copyright things and because they just wanna force you to goto their webpage and view it. You can use front cam get them now.
